- Exit Līhuʻe Airport:Follow signs out of the airport toward Ahukini Rd.
- Turn left onto HI-51 S (Kapule Hwy): Drive for about 2.5 miles.
- Continue onto HI-50 W (Kaumualiʻi Hwy): Stay on HI-50 W for about 1 mile.
- Turn left onto Maluhia Rd (HI-520 S): This is the “Tree Tunnel” road—follow for about 5 miles.
- Turn right onto Poʻipū Rd: Continue for about 2 miles toward the coast.
- Turn left onto Hoowili Rd: Drive about 0.5 miles.
- Turn right onto Peʻe Rd: Follow this road to the end—Makahuena will be on the oceanfront bluff.
