From Līhuʻe Airport (LIH) to Pono Kai Resort in Kapaʻa:
- Exit the airport onto Ahukini Road.
- Turn left onto Kūhiō Highway / HI-56 North toward Kapaʻa.
- Continue north on HI-56 for about 7–8 miles.
- As you enter Kapaʻa, turn right onto Kauwila Street.
- Continue toward the ocean and follow the signs into Pono Kai Resort.
The drive is about 8–9 miles and usually takes 15–20 minutes, depending on traffic.
